The Urban Agriculture Network-Australia will become a separate, incorporated entity when sufficient members have been recruited. Founding members are currently Geoff Wilson of Nettworx Publishing, Professor David Midmore, Plant Sciences faculty, Central Queensland University, and Dale Gilbert, Director of the Built Environment Research Unit of the Queensland Department of Public Works. 

It is proposed that UAN-Australia will be the precursor for separate entities in New Zealand, Pacific Island nations, South East Asia, China, Japan and Korea.

The Urban Agriculture Network has myriad connections with like-minded organisations around the world.
